I am aware of repeated letters to the NZ Police Minister Poto Williams from organizations that represent lawful shooters .. At least THREE messages from the SSANZ Secretary and more from COLFO remain ignored.
The Labour Government of Jacinda Ardern is ignoring all attempts by legal shooters to end the punitive attacks on the law-abiding - meanwhile our police continue to cancel shooters licenses for minor traffic offences while accepting gang members and associates as being 'Fit and Proper' for gun ownership.

Police recruitment was recently boosted by the 'passing-out' of a 57 y.o. female newly sworn member - who I am sure will prove to be a most valuable if diminutive law enforcement officer.
Despite our governments "decisive action" prohibiting' and "Buying Back" a range of sporting rifles following the Christchurch killings of Islamic mosque worshippers - New Zealand is experiencing ever more killings of a kind that was rare forty years ago when firearms laws were maintained at a sensible level.
Despite - or perhaps because of over 200 pages of new restrictive firearms regulations imposed on legal gun owners . the under-resourced police are struggling to maintain LAW & ORDER.
Despite - or perhaps because of our NZ Police imposing a new 30 PAGE F.Lic. Application Form - there seems to be a log-jam of 9,800 licenses delayed for as much as a year from being issued.
- Meanwhile the application form for consideration as a police officer remains as ONE PAGE.
NO Firearms License Required:
Considering the ever increasing constraints on the ownership and use of sporting firearms in New Zealand - isn't it incredible that New Zealand Police are not required to qualify as fit & proper or to obtain & maintain an Endorsed Firearms License to use their powerful semi-auto WEAPONS against criminals in public locations?
- If we accept that the safety and rights of New Zealanders is a Government priority - I assert that those poorly trained unlicensed but armed police employees are a far greater danger to the ordinary kiwi family than are any regularly training sporting target shooter.
Both our New Zealand Political administration and our Police Management are out of control, - misguided, negligent and deluded in their policies.

ReplyDeleteWhilst police management ARE our of control, so too are most politicians, and this is exceptionally dangerous for ALL New Zealanders and in many respects.
BUT - they are not deluded or misguided - what is happening in NZ is absolutely DELIBERATE and in conformity with UN requirement of UN Member States to disarm civilians.
You will NOT win ths battle using logic.reason and facts. The only way to gain headway is to become political such as has done in Australia .... and that's still a struggle for the same reasons as you suffer in NZ ...... and what is that?
Selfish and Ignorant public who learn of firearms use from the endless violence crap on TV and the big screen that is promoted by the 'entertainment industry' for profit - the mind warping results from which are decryed by that same industry.
The battle will be for the relative few firearms owners to make the most valid case that once the litmus test has been dealt with then it WILL be their turn, which means the progressive elimination of liberty "for the common good" / "for increased safety" and other unassailable ideals that are the gilding on the turd.
One needs only look at Hitler's tactics as they are being followed to achieve the total socialist state - and always remember - Police Are Your Enemy. 'You' are what keeps them in a job..
That Jacinda and family (and likely others) were committed communists should ring alarm bells as that's the road being followed now.
THAT is what Kiwis need understand. Do that and you might well win this first fight and perhaps the battle.
Isn't so interesting that gun owners followed the Pied Piper , David Seymour / ACT because he took a single vote on the first tranche of gun laws and then stated that his reason for doing so was " Ahh there was insufficient time for consideration" ! Ah come on David Seymour and ACT have been 95-99% supportive of UN policies specifically mass migration into NZ. So how can a PRO- UN politician avoid trouble from the UN,ah say he voted because it was how fast it was done , and NOT a single word during those discussions in Parliament that it violated any right of the citizens. And tell me, David doesn't know how to play politics and get the gun vote while supporting the UN that wants gun control. And the worst part is COLFO supported a UN puppet ! You can't have it both ways , your pro-gun and anti UN or your a liar !
