Where Are Our NZ SAS Working?

 I have no inside information. There is NO WAY I would have made it into this special Regiment. I have met and known three guys through pistol shooting competition who - for the record - were not in the NZSAS ..

My Irish father served nearly eight years from 1938 through WW2 in the Irish Guards and No.1 and No.2 Commando .. claiming that was the only way that he could get away from the Guard's English public school lgbtqia Officers. - He was in North Africa, Italy, and Norway, plus Northern Europe.

Moi, I was once declared - on a standing room only London-Peterborough train - by a drunken soccer fan-yob freshly released from a Spanish prison, to be SAS, and he 'befriended' me loudly for half the trip until he got thirsty and wandered off. - That's as close as I get to special forces ..

There may be some 500-700 men serving in New Zealands most combat fit Regiment .. guesstimates vary but there are perhaps six squadrons. They are mostly - very well trained & capable professional killers who do not question orders. - Naturally the guys will have their own opinions & theories - but they do the job.

Where are they working?

Both Ukraine & Israel are stated to currently be places where these men are deployed. They work closely with Britains own SAS and them-that-know state many of Ukraine's commando style successes are the work of these units .. as are the alert personal guards watching over Zelenskyy .. keeping him safe until his value dissipates .. for BlackRock to take-up their 410 BILLION Dollar rebuilding Ukraine contract.

The Guardian reports that the 50/97 special forces operating in Ukraine are British SAS - and where they are, you can guess the kiwis may also be having a beer or three. - SAS are said to have co-operated with Israel's Sayaret Matkal in recent times - But the UK Govt. has issued a D-Notice (DSMA Defence & Security Media Advisory Notice) instructing media it may not report any such activity in Gaza.

NZ does have a "six man team" deployed in the Red Sea "upholding maritime security" while Defence Minister Judith Collins has extended our official 97< defence personnel "standing with Ukraine" until June 2025.

I would expect in due course that a splattering of NZ medals will be presented for the most successful killing performance?
