Shooters Worldwide should be much saddened by the news that MIKE BELIVEAU - 'DUELIST' has died from cancer in Pennsylvania 30 July. - I enjoyed his shooting videos over many years, and learned much from his well researched stories about guns, shooting and historic characters.
Do It TODAY ..
Yeah - me too .. I am only human and I too have neglected to clean a gun when I got home, - and then before you know it - weeks have passed and the bloody thing has gone RUSTY.DO SOMETHING:
Clean it Your Way .. We are dealing with endless variables - so use your favorite method whatever .. Ballistol 'Moose Milk', Glass Cleaner spray, - Isopropyl Alcohol, - Acetone, - Ed's magic mix of Automotive Transmission Fluid with kerosene etc, - or Plain Old-Fashioned HOT WATER with or without soap. Or any combination ..
- CLEAN IT - Dry it - then immediately OIL IT. - Every-day kitchen Canola will do.
A cleaned Muzzleloader might safely lay around in a dry climate for many decades even when loaded .. as dry Blackpowder itself is a benign, stable, non-corrosive substance.
- So ALWAYS check every firearm is safely unloaded - including newly acquired antiques.
- However - any Moisture from the air or in direct contact will produce sulfuric ACIDS ..
AND .. the solid by-products of gun powder combustion - The FOULING - is a nasty corrosive mix of acidic residues together with various potassium salts that absorb moisture from the air ..
And cheap old kitchen Canola Rape Seed Oil will protect and lubricate your guns as well as most anything else, Synthetic CLP's or 'Nano-Technology' - EWL Extreme Weapons Lubricant .. These are
E.P.M.M.T .. "Extreme Profit Making Mug Tax"
You got the money .. then Spend it ..
History of CANOLA OIL: During World War II, Canada bulk-produced high-erucic acid rapeseed oil as a vital industrial lubricant for marine steam engines because it uniquely clung to wet, saltwater-exposed metal. When the war ended, ships switched to diesel power, causing the military market to collapse overnight. Faced with loss of profit & agricultural bankruptcy, Canadian corporations and the government sought to salvage their massive investments by pivoting the crop toward the domestic kitchen for pure financial profit.
Because natural rapeseed oil was too bitter, foul-smelling, and legally banned from food due to toxic compounds linked to heart damage, it underwent extensive genetic and chemical re-engineering. - In the 1970s, scientists selectively bred the plant to reduce the toxins, and developed a heavy industrial refining process using high heat and a petroleum-derived solvent HEXANE to make the lubricant clear and flavourless.
To overcome the public relations disaster of the name "rapeseed", the industry invented the name Canola (Canada + Oil, Low Acid) in 1978. Backed by massive corporate marketing campaigns that framed it as a cheap, "heart-healthy" alternative to butter, capitalists successfully transformed a wartime engine grease into a multi-billion-dollar global food staple.
- BETTER ON YOUR GUN THAN IN YOUR GUT ..
It is highly unlikely that any billionaire industrialists themselves eat GM canola oil or margarine as a regular dietary treat. - Historically, the wealthy elite generally choose to consume high-end, minimally processed, premium ingredients, leaving factory-produced, chemically engineered foods for the general consumer market.
Do you feed your kids on REAL food or on industrial Crap mechanically recovered waste? .. Waste animal carcasses are forced through a seive under high pressure and most bone particles/cartilage filtered-out, - to produce a slurry-paste containing all the scraps, skin, fat, marrow, nerves and blood vessels .. this is sold to the public in sausages, salami, hotdogs, patties, nuggets and lunch meats.
- The PINK SLIME controversy .. Heard of MAD COW DISEASE? - When a human contracts the human form of Mad Cow disease—known medically as variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (vCJD)—your brain is destroyed by a microscopic domino effect caused by a misfolded protein called a prion. - Prions do not contain DNA or RNA, making them virtually indestructible by standard cooking temperatures, radiation, or stomach acid. - I am not allowed to donate blood because I ate meat when visiting England '86-2000 ..
Factory "meat" is approved - but wild killed game is BANNED from sale ..
Would you rather feed the kids on hunted wild venison or on factory "slurry-meat"?
Life is brilliant eh,
Marty K.
