"FUDDs" Damaging Shooter's Rights:

FUDD relating to shooting is a fairly new word for me ...

But in the shooting & hunting world,  FUDDS are low IQ 'know-alls' who think that their experience & choice of firearm & calibre is so superior to everyone else's that there is no possible reason for those others to be allowed to have their different choice of .. auto or pump-action shotgun - or semi-auto rifle - or short barrelled carbines - or who needs a silencer unless you're a criminal - and you should't be allowed to wear 'camo' gear
- & tube magazines only need to hold THREE ROUNDS - and pistol grips on rifles are dangerous - and revolvers should only have five rounds in six chambers and be shot single-action only - and "nobody needs more than two guns" and you shouldn't teach children about gun safety until they are 21 y.o. or ......

The word FUDD seems to come from the Looney Tunes cartoon character "Elmer Fudd" who used to chase after BUGS BUNNY in the late 1930 - 40's trying to hunt bunny but always cocking everything-up and usually injuring himself:

 "Shhh. - Be vewy vewy quiet, I'm hunting wabbits"

According to Wikipedia - there may be a snide dig reference there to well known hunter & shooting writer Elmer Keith.

- So the point is - that by criticising other's gun choices & use - FUDDS are handing anti-gun ammunition to the banners.

I guess every group and club has it's loud mouth moron and difficult asset ... but please do us all a favour by letting that fuddy-fecker know that he ought keep his critical opinions to himself when in public.
