Australian company DefendTex has developed a drone for military application that is launched from a M320 Grenade Launcher. - The DefendTex D-40 Drone is fired into the air transforming itself into a quadcopter that carries either a camera system or a range of weapon systems.

This DRONE has a standard maneuvering flight time of 12 minutes and/or an observation time of 20 minutes.

Equipped with anti-armour charges, a fuel-air bomb - other H.E/frag explosives or smoke - this D-40 drone becomes a capable remote controlled LOITERING MUNITION that is said to also be able to be co-ordinated with multiple other drones to mount swarm attacks.

Being launched from the grenade launcher saves the D-40 Drone's battery energy on take-off .. extending flight time and range out to a very useful 10 kilometres.

Melbourne Australia manufacturer  DEFENDTEX  will also offer this low cost (down to $500.) drone technology for the 81 mm mortar and 12 gauge calibres.

Meanwhile our NZ Labour-Coalition Government is ensuring our safety by busily prohibiting lever-action hunting and rabbit rifles and by making it harder to have a recreational target range ..
